Abstract
In order to assess the risk to museum collections from their environment, we need to combine information on the strength of historic materials and on the response of historic artifacts to their environment with information on the frequency of extreme climatic events that might cause damage. This paper illustrates one approach to predicting the frequency of potentially damaging events from the analysis of environmental data. -- SCMRE
