Abstract
In the region of Braunschweig in central Germany, 2,500 stone tools have been examined. A large number of them is of a certain type which frequently occur in the Danube region. These tools are made of an actionolite-hornblende-schist. Petrographic analysis revealed that this type of stone comes from the Carpathian mountains and the Balkan region and not, as earlier presumed, from Saxony. -- AATA
