Abstract
Deals with the Roman quarries found on the territory of the villages of Dugi Dol and Stirkovac in Kordun (Croatia). The analysis of the size of the stone blocks, the location of the stone coffins and of their execution indicate that in both quarries sarcophagi were made to be sent later for finishing to a stone-mason's workshop. For this reason the existence of a local stone-mason's workshop is supposed. The quarries could be dated to the late 3rd century A.D. -- AATA
