Abstract
Metallurgical examination was carried out on a large number of copper, ferrous and slag materials recovered from carthage. The investigation aims to identify and characterize the archaeological material, examine its structure and composition, determine its method of manufacture and technology and shed light on the technical competence of carthaginian metalsmiths during the 5th-7th centuries ad.
