Carboxylic acids, esters, amides having a perfluoropolyetheric chain of 600 or 5000 mean molecular weight have been synthesized and tested as protective agents for stone. In preliminary tests they show a very interesting and promising behavior: amides and esters seem particularly effective and suitable for high porosity stones.
