Advantages of the new radiographic installation of the Research Laboratories of the Museums of France are discussed. Radiographs of four objects entirely or partially of metal, one of wood and one ceramic were analyzed and results interpreted. Information is obtained on the state of conservation, internal corrosion, restorations invisible to the naked eye, techniques of fabrication and the contents of cavities.
