Abstract
A discussion of the precarious state of the products of Christian culture-art and architecture -- in Ethiopia. A brief historical and cutural outline includes examples of churches, monuments, and a group of monolithic stelae discovered by German archaeologists in 1913. Churches cut entirely from rock between the 12th and 14th centuries are described along with the particular technique used in Ethiopia (and particularly in Lalibala) during that period. -- AATA
