Polymer water dispersions, polymer solutions, epoxy resins and organo silicone compounds were used for the impregnation of sandstone. Water absorption, vapor permeability and sulfate crystallization test resistance of treated stone were measured. Only organosilicone consolidants and some epoxy resins have produced good results. The differences among epoxy resins, probably due to different solvent systems, were indicated. The dispersion and high molecular polymer solutions proved ineffective. -- AATA
