Abstract
It happens frequently that the interference of the 325°C TL glow peak at the low temperature side of the 375° peak prevents the convenient use of the latter peak (the proper peak for dating purpose as shown by Fleming). As a consequence, the plateau test does not work. A short time annealing procedure which results in emptying the electron traps responsible for the 325° peak is described.
