The purpose of the present research was to date by thermoluminescence sherds, well-fired clays, and kiln materials from the two Greek Neolithic settlements Sesklo and Dimini, Thessaly. Correct dating of these materials is important because it provides evidence of human activities; such dating allows classification of the different cultural phases involved; thermoluminescence dates can be compared with corrected ¹⁴C results; and through associated analyses of clustering sherds, kilns, and clays from the vicinity of these two settlements, cultural interaction at specific times in the past may be determined.
