Abstract
Water absorption is a great danger to building stone, since the water carries soluble pollutants and can lead to spalling of stone through cycles of expansion and contraction. It is important, while considering available water repellents, to compare and evaluate the means of adhesion and application, the coating's appearance and aging qualities. A survey of materials is provided. -- AATA
