The reconstruction of a Bellarmine jar from a Dutch shipwreck is described. Discs of polystyrene were used to create an inside form in order to aid the restorer in the reconstruction of the jar. The methods used for the fabrication of the form, the filling-in of missing areas, and the removal of the form are clearly described.
