Abstract
The Dakakari live in the northwest of Nigeria. They make grave monuments with a local clay mixed with ground pot sherds or coarse sand. The article describes the forming method, firing, and finishing with paint made from the skin of the locust bean seed, which gives a shiny orange color. -- AATA
