Abstract
Various aspects of varnish analysis were studied: separation of resin and solvent, viscosity grade, solubility, cloud point, brittleness, hardness, infrared analysis,chromatography, and identification of solvent. The identification of aged resins and varnishes is discussed. Bibliography.
