Abstract
A laboratory study of some fatliquoring variables applied to average sides of shoe upper leather has indicated that the temper and feel of the leather are significantly influenced by the kind of oil and the degree of sulfation of the oil used in fatliquoring. The depth of penetration of the oil and the break of the leather are not measurably influenced.
