One of the major complexes of rock art sites in the Pilbara region of Western Australia is introduced. It consists of a series of 28 petroglyph galleries, located on boulder piles, rock outcrops, and extensive flat pavements, mostly of granite. The author considers a range of motifs, spatial distribution, and patination of the rock art, and speculates about its antiquity. The deterioration of rock through fire spalling and insolation is also discussed.
