Abstract

Gonadotropic hormone levels were determined in pituitaries of pullets and hens treated with EDB. Increase in weight of testes of checks served as a measure of hormone activity. Normal hormone levels were found in EDB-treated females. Crude chicken pituitary and purified ovine FSH preparations were injected in hens laying small eggs following EDB administration. No increase of egg weight was noted.
