Abstract
Medieval Islamic pottery from Yemen was analyzed using instrumental neutron activation analysis and ceramic petrography, at first to confirm that the pottery was produced in the study area, and then to attempt to determine the centers of production within the study area. It was found that the products of two commercial manufacturing centers could be characterized and located, each with a stylistically varied group of products.
