Abstract
The problem of simultaneous drying and stabilization of waterlogged argillaceous ground was dealt with. Chemical treatment of model ground samples with aluminium sulfate, silicic acid sol, and water soluble resins (acetone-formaldehyde, magnesium acrylate, urea, ureamelamine-formaldehyde, and phenol formaldehyde) was performed. In order to achieve a better penetration of the consolidants into the ground, electrokinetic effects were applied simultaneously.
