Abstract
Microflora is one of the main causes of damage to works of art and monuments, constituting the first stage in the process whereby a monument's very survival is threatened. This research project takes as its point of departure the classification of which species attack which types of substrata. This mapping-out process allows the study of the succession of various species and the analyses of the different damaging effects.
