Abstract
A number of ancient bronze mirrors and coins were analyzed by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry. On the SnK alpha/CuK beta vs. PbL gamma/CuK beta diagram, the Japanese mirrors seem to be separated from the Chinese ones. The Japanese coins (minted in the 8th-11th century) are classified into two groups by the SnK alpha/PbL gamma value. These data would be useful for supplementing archaeological information.
