Kodak's Technical Fan film, developed in Technidol LC developer, is compared with Plus-X developed in HC-110 dilution B and found to be superior except for a lighter rendering of red colors. This can be adjusted by using a cyan 40 filter with the Technical pan, it is reported. Tests show that Technical pan has image resolving capacities beyond the capabilities of any conventional lens. Technidol LC (for low contrast) developer is suggested for normal subjects. If high contrast is desired, Technical pan can be developed in HC110 dilution D . It is reported that special developing techniques are required for best results with this 35mm film. The author suggests that reading a copy of Kodak publication F-255 Kodak Technical Fan Film 2415 is a must before any serious work with this material.
