Abstract
The application of thermoluminescence to determine the time since geological sediments were last exposed to sunlight is described. The assumption about the linearity of thermoluminescence growth is not needed in this application, thus enabling the dating of sediments for which the total dose has taken them beyond the linear region. Preliminary dates for some sediments from near Lake Mungo, NSW, Australia, are given. See also 20-147. -- AATA
