A review of present information on the Shroud of Turin giving a history of its examination, including the findings of the most recent shroud commissions. Additionally, the author provides archaeological/anthropological and textual evidence. He concludes that it is unquestionably the burial shroud of Christ. Fifteen commentaries follow, by a variety of authors, both pro and con, concluding with a reply by Meacham. The extensive references cited provide a good bibliography of the literature to date on the subject.
