Abstract
The preparation of fibers from the needles of Pinus roxburgii is described and the chemical composition and physical properties are determined. After a comparison with the physical and chemical properties of other vegetable fibers, it is suggested that the pine fibers are only suitable for use as cheap filler material or in rags. -- AATA
