Abstract
A two part Study: 1: Heat-seal lamination. A Balinese bark cloth calinder was backed with woven polyester gauze impregnated with paraloid B72 using a heat-sealing technique. 2: A consolidation/lamination technique for the treatment of fibrous materials. The treatment of leaves from Pacific Island artifacts. Leaves were cleaned and then laminated with Process Nylon Laminating Tissue and polyvinylbutyral in acetone/toluene. The treatments described were found successful.
