Trox gordoni, a new species of Scarabaeidae (Coleoptera) from Peru, is described, illustrated, and compared with other closely related South American species. Notes on the habits and distribution of Trox aricensis Gutierrez are given. Biotopes at the collection sites of both sepcies are briefly described.
