Description of the activities and structure of the Australian National Film Archive. It was founded in 1937 and holds about 23,000 titles in the film collections, as well as collections of film stills, posters and other related items. The material is available to researchers, and there is a lending collection associated with the archives. The archives is copying films on cellulose nitrate onto triacetate safety film, and traces and reconstructs surviving Australian Films. -- AATA
