Abstract
Recent research at the Conservation Analytical Laboratory, Smithsonian Institution, on environmental standards within museums is summarized. Flatlining, the practice of trying to maintain unchanging temperature and humidity in a museum year-round, may not be necessary, and fluctuations within a safe range may be possible. -- AATA
