Paper reporting the conservation and preservation problems concerning postal and telecommunications objects. The material and the subjects typically described are considered. General remarks on external and internal causes of deterioration are given. A few examples of examples of restoration concerning objects made of papyrus, paper, textiles, stone, and of painted post-house signs and recent communication equipment are reported.
