Paper on the preservation and restoration of an aircraft. Some of the methods used at the National Air and Space Museum (Washington) are described. A plan called curatorial package before the restoration is detailed. Cleaning, chemical treatment to remove and inhibit corrosion, and protection are three major steps in the preservation of airplane components.
