This paper presents the chemistry of epoxy resins, including the raw materials and polymers ranging from liquid to solid resins, and deals with the uses of epoxies in construction and in remedial work for bonding concrete, repairing cracked concrete, patching and grouting of concrete, as adhesives for veneers, etc. The chemical resistance and physical properties of specific formulations are presented, and a section is devoted to methods of handling epoxy compounds and the various safety precautions which should be observed. A number of formulations are presented for specific uses and, particularly, those which are prescribed by standard specifications. Reference is also made to epoxy coatings which are often used as decorative and protective systems for concrete walls, floors, tanks, pipelines, etc. -- AATA
