Abstract
Twelve ceramics were examined to evaluate cross-cultural influences in form, technique, or decoration. Specific influences are illustrated but what makes the piece distinctive of its ethnic culture is also pointed out. A unique turquoise glaze appears in the 14th century in China, a pottery center which tended to be seldom influenced by techniques from other pottery centers. -- AATA
