Abstract
This news note concerns experiments exploring the use of a diode laser to measure C-14 in carbon dioxide, an application which may eventually be used in radiocarbon dating. The sensitivity limitations of the technique are mentioned along with a possible enrichment process that would improve sensitivity. The note mentions that results of the feasibility study are presented in the April 1981 issue of the journal Applied Physics.
