Abstract
Permeation of naphthalene through low density polyethylene film and a waxed paper conforming to a military specification has been studied under similar conditions of temperature and relative humidity. Polyethylene film is found to be considerably more impervious to naphthalene than the wax paper. Naphthalene and polyethylene film are sometimes used in the preservation of artifacts.
