Abstract
The analysis at the Rathgen Research Laboratory was done by atomic absorption spectrometry which provides precise data on the concentrations of trace elements. These may be used to aid determination of the period of manufacture or the region or origin. Findings are compared with bronzes from Siam, Java, Burma, Tibet, Kashmir etc. The research of Werner and Mallebrein is mentioned. The analysis of metals can aid their conservation.
