Abstract
The effect of acid deposition on sandstone masonry of anasazi cliff dwelling ruins at mesa verde national park (usa) is being investigated. A mechanisation of deterioration by acceleration of nature erosion process is hypothesized, based on the acid attack of the partly ccalcitic binder of the sandstone. References. -- ICCROM
