Abstract
The article describes and illustrates a new storage vault and its storage equipment designed for the 6000 artifacts comprising the Indian Arts Fund Collection at the School of American Research, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The vault has climate control facilities to maintain clean air at 35% RH and 70 degrees F. Storage methods minimize handling of American Indian pottery, baskets, kachinas, textiles, jewelry, and paintings while facilitating their study.
