The light damage slide rule designed by the Canadian Conservation Institute is described. It can be used to calculate the amount of light received by an object over a period of time at a given light level. The back of the slide rule contains information on how given light levels can be achieved in exhibitions, and information on commonly available fluorescent and incandescent sources. The tool is availabe from CCI at a price of 20 Canadian dollars.
