Abstract
As in all areas, continuing professional museum education is an accelerating field, due largely to the increasing age of the American population as a whole. Unfortunately, there are few or no standards to which such programs must adhere. Thus, prospective students in continuing education programs for museum professionals must carry out some consumer research on their own. The information presented in chart form in this article serves as a guide to evaluating the applicability of training programs to one's own interests in continuing education. One of the charts compares aspects of museum programs offered nationally, and may serve as a guide for assessing regional courses not listed.
