Abstract
Modern archaeology has created a storage problem for museums holding archaeological collections. Various solutions are proposed, increasing storage areas, destroying all incomplete or scientifically unsound collections and returning material to the country of origin. For the future, other suggestions are made such as excavating only a small area of any one site with the retention of all the material or the application of selective criteria for large bodies of material. None of the alternatives are deemed satisfactory. -- AATA
