Abstract
The Johnson Atelier, located in Princeton, New Jersey, has a well endowed apprenticeship program to teach students to cast molten metals for modern artists. Due to the advanced technical facilities several of America's leading artists are employing this foundry. Of interest to conservators is the fact that all sculpture produced at the facilities is treated to resist pollutant attack by baking a coating of silicone glass into the surface then sealing the surface with Incralac. -- AATA
