Studies an Early Christian gold-glass fragment depicting S. Agnes; also discusses the use, history, and chronology of gold-glass in Rome. Argues that gold-glass vessels were used at funerary feasts, then broken and incorporated in the plaster which closed the niches in the catacombs. -- AATA
