Abstract
Describes the concretion on iron guns from wrecks off Cornwall and the Scilly Isles in terms of clib and crud, clib being fed by liquid rust issuing from the dissolving metal. The degree of clib formation varies between sites. Reconstruction of the small cast iron pivot guns from the Collossus (1798) and Anson (1808) is described. -- AATA
