Abstract
Surveys the geology of southern Attica and the technology of the ancient silver mines, from actual mining through to smelting, and concludes with some remarks on the history of the industry. The principal types of site are illustrated by the most important examples excavated in recent years. Analyses of specimens of typical slags are given. -- AATA
