Abstract
Aluminum-tin alloys of varying composition were tested in seawater to determine whether they could function as galvanic anodes in protecting steel against corrosion. The rate of loss of weight was measured. Potentiodynamic and galvanostatic polarization was used to test the protective properties of the alloys. It was determined that these alloys provide cathodic protection. -- AATA
