Abstract
Rasavnavakalpa is a Sanskrit text from the 11th century which contains alchemical recipes. The present study is an attempt to understand chemically the gold making process in the above book. These gold making methods paralleled those prevalent in China in medieval times. The technologies may have traveled from one country to another. -- AATA
