Abstract
The radiocarbon dating of the alluvial deposits has shown that the age of the uppermost sediments in the alluvial plain in the northeastern Bohemia is recent, very often medieval. The carrier of the remanent magnetism of studied sediments are hematite and rarely magnetite and maghemite, products of an early diagenetic process. The differences in the values of inclination and declination in the studied sites were interpreted as a consequence of recent movements.
