Abstract
The mechanisms by which stainless steel welds, subjected to use in the pulp and paper industry, can corrode is discussed in detail. The author concludes that it is possible to avoid weld related corrosion by diagnosing failure mechanisms and adjusting composition of stainless steel. -- AATA
