The technique of making periphotographs (or cyclographs), showing all sides of an object in the same view, is described in detail. Using a 35mm camera, a slit shutter, a record turntable, a locking cable release and a mirror, the image is made by rotating the object at the same speed as the film is rewound. Methods of determining amount of film needed, time and speed of revolution and exposure are given. The technique, which works best with cylindrical objects, has been used by archaeologists. -- AATA
